About Manifest Hope
The desire to help people navigate their emotions and experiences has always been a part of my identity and having a heart for people is one of my core values. I noticed how quickly a person struggling to respond to any number of circumstances could be overlooked, abandoned, misunderstood, and mislabeled.
My passion as a counselor is fueled by a deep commitment to care and a call to action, because there are so many myths and misconceptions about human behavior and mental health that keep people from getting what they need. There is power and visibility when you work with someone who gets where you're coming from.
My experiences as a Black woman who knows how it feels to carry the weight of secrecy, the pain of being judged and ridiculed, and the expectation that you have to be strong all the time, led me to create this practice where folks can lay themselves bare and be held with compassion, empathy, and understanding.
Manifest Hope Counseling is a space that's all about helping you heal, grow, and find balance. It's my love letter to humanity, it's me living in my purpose and helping others do the same. Even when it's hard, growth and healing are possible and hope is within reach!

My View of Therapy
Therapy is a collaborative process, we are in this thing together! You get to be you, I get to be me, and we get the work done. My aim is for you to leave each session more uplifted and empowered.
Working with people who are chronically ill, have visible and non-visible illnesses, and need help dealing with stress, anxiety, and depression.
I hold a Master's degree in Community Counseling from Xavier University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Washington & Jefferson College. I've been in practice for 14 years.
I am compassionate, attentive, respectful, and accepting. The privilege of being invited into your mind and heart is one I don't take lightly. I'll hold space for your tears with sensitivity and assurance, and we'll also share laughs and celebrate wins.
Outside of Therapy
When I'm not working, you'll catch me reading a book, spending quality time with my husband, hosting game nights with family, lunching with friends, baking, watching The Office, or traveling because that's my true love language!
